Bitcoin is born in 2008, Ethereum is born in 2013, and their underlying technologies such as blockchain and smart-contracts, are disruptive innovations that make it possible to reinvent services and products that were unimaginable until then.

The Blockchain, by definition decentralized, redefines the notion of trust in exchanges, and allows a fairer distribution of value between individuals. It’s at the heart of the major innovations that will have a strong societal impact in the 21st century.

The Web3 market (sometimes called the crypto market) which is made up of solutions that integrate these technologies has been booming since 2016: Layer1, Layer2 and sidechain, DeFI, NFT, Oracles, Identity, Web3 tooling, DApps, Wallets…. With hundreds of newcomers each week, the market is not slowing down and is reshuffling the cards of the historic web2.0 players.

About Laurent Lourenço

Former coder since I was 14, I’m a Venture Manager and a Strategic Advisor for projects with strong IT challenges for more than 25 years. I like to design innovative systems to delight users and to generate huge competitive advantage.

In the blockchain space since 2012:

• driven 7 blockchain studies
• launched 1 blockchain startup
• won 1 blockchain/cybersecurity prize
• planned 2 token launch
• participated in many POCs and R&D projects
• MIT Certified in 04-2019: Blockchain Technologies - Business Innovation and Application.

Other example of significant achievements:

• I’ve designed the overall system architecture of a food industry and managemed >30 IS/IT transfomation projects in Agile mode.

• I’ve started a profitable supply chain business unit from scratch in 6 months, with key differentiator algorithms.

• I’ve designed & build a software mock-up for a 15M€ fully specific software development tender (oil industry, dot net). We won the bid.
